One of my favorite projects while working at Access Communications was this social post. 2K's Creative Director wanted to tease the fact one of their best-selling franchises was coming back and they wanted to revitalize the fan base. I LOVED the Bioshock series, so he let me come up with the idea, storyboard it, shoot it, edit it, and pass it off to their social channels.
PROBLEM
2K wanted to reawaken a dormant video game franchise that hasn’t had a title in years.
Solution
With an upcoming holiday and using the most recent title in the series’ theme (Bioshock Infinite had many references to America’s founding fathers), the idea was to align the two.
Execution
Using my experience in stop-motion and photography, I created a mini-studio in 2K’s attic to light and shoot this video, then used AfterEffects for the post-production.
Results
62 thousand views and over 500 shares made this one of 2K’s better-received posts to their hungry social fanbase.
